Visitors to the park this evening may have noticed we’ve put up some new fencing
Volunteers from the Friends of Brunswick Park cordoned off the area this evening after raking up the grass cuttings following a recent visit by Haringey Council's lawnmower.
This created some bare patches of disturbed ground. We have some wildflower seeds including native poppies of local provenance to scatter, although there are several self-seeded wildflowers and grasses already present.
We're aiming for a "road verge" style of meadow strip to complement the beautiful comfrey, yarrow, cranesbill, dead nettles and creeping cinquefoil we've spotted there.
We're always keen for more volunteers to help improve our park. If you're interested, please do get in touch.
In the meantime, please keep your fingers crossed for some rain!
